The brown bear is the animal species in Croatia, which deserves the greatest care and attention and has the right to survival.

He is one of the most representative of biological diversity and plays an important role in its maintenance. Located on the top of the food pyramid and the threat is only from the man and his activities.

The orphan bear sanctuary Kuterevo is only place in whole Europe which has mission to protect brown bears. Sanctuary is well known as a place for scientific researches of brown bear.

Volunteers activities includes editing the habitat of bears, acceptance and management of visitors, maintaining hiking trails, feeding animals, logistics in the sanctuary, etc.

Tour includes 20 hours of education on subject “Environmental protection in action”. Educational courses are held by Danijela Juric, freelance trainer and consultant. Volunteers are learning about enviroment and it’s protection. Education runs in pleasent surrounding of National park Krka waterfalls in the old royal town Knin.

Tour also includes excursions in National Park Plitvice, National park Krka waterfalls, tour sightseeing in Capital city of Zagreb and visiting museum and born place of world famous scientist Nikola Tesla.

Recreational moments are reserved for hiking trip on the Velebit mountain.
